PERIOD OF VALIDITY OF THE AUTHORIZATION AND OF THE REGISTRATION

• Period of validity of the authorization and of the registration
The authorization is issued for a limited period of time, which as a rule is 5 years. The Commission may set, on a case-by-case basis, any period of validity shorter than 5 years for certain authorizations.

Import, export, transfer and transit authorizations are issued for a period of time considered by the applicant to be sufficient for carrying out the activity, but not exceeding one year.

The possession authorization for radiological installations taken out of use or placed in storage is issued for a period of no more than two years.

The registration is valid for as long as the conditions under which it was obtained do not change, but for no more than ten years.

The registration ceases to be valid if:

a) the rated service life of the product has expired;
b) the use of the product has changed;
c) the responsible person has been changed without the consent of the Commission;
d) the legally established entity holding the registration no longer exists legally or its registration data have changed.
