The construction authorization allows the necessary construction and fitting-out works to be carried out, the radiological installations to be installed, and their operation for a limited time only in order to allow them to be adjusted and the acceptance tests and the tests of the effectiveness of the protective shielding to be performed.

For practices that are authorized in a single phase, the installation of the radiological installations and the performance of the acceptance tests and of the tests of the effectiveness of the protective shielding are permitted only if the recipient has notified the Commission of its intention to use these installations and provides proof of that notification.

The installer is obliged to take the necessary measures so that the radiological installation can be used by the recipient only after the authorization for use has been obtained.
