Results:

-The updated version of the ELAN-E Romania emergency communication platform

-The updated version of ELAN-E installed at the CNCAN-ERC and 8 CNCAN staff members trained in its use

  • Activity A5.4: Improving the organization and conduct of exercises within CNCAN.

Results:

-procurement of the tool for conducting an emergency exercise within CNCAN

  • Activity A5.5: Enhancing CNCAN capabilities for the assessment of radiological consequences (CNCAN)

Results:

-Procurement of technical support services for updating the RODOS models (for example, aquatic models for the assessment of radiological consequences), including installation and training of CNCAN staff

-Development of technical solutions for the use of weather forecast data in atmospheric dispersion calculations, CNCAN staff trained

-Procurement/development of technical solutions (specific software and a dedicated server) for collecting radiological data, processing them and producing maps that include the data collected, CNCAN staff trained

  • Activity A5.6: Development of specific emergency response procedures for CNCAN

Results:

-Emergency response procedures (public communication procedure, notification and activation procedure, emergency controller procedure)

-Emergency response procedures for severe accidents at CANDU-type and TRIGA-type reactors, covering the results of the nuclear safety assessments provided for in the IAEA guides and the dose calculations performed under various meteorological conditions

  • ·Activity A5.7: Development of training modules designed for the emergency response organization of the nuclear regulatory authority

Results:

-Online training modules for CNCAN staff

  •  Activity A5.8: Specific training on radiological emergency response (medical response, environmental monitoring, etc.)

Results:

-Training sessions for approximately 83 persons (from CNCAN and from other organizations involved in emergency response)
