Enhancing CNCAN capabilities for conducting inspections

  • Activity A3.1: Development of the inspection process and of specific procedures for all oversight areas

Results:

-A systematic and comprehensive inspection programme based on a graded approach to nuclear safety through the inspection process

-Inspection procedures

-30 CNCAN staff members involved in inspection activities were trained

-7 laptops for inspection activities

  • Activity A3.2: Development of a training and qualification programme for CNCAN inspectors


Results:

-A coherent and comprehensive professional training and qualification programme for inspectors

-Training materials for the training and qualification of CNCAN inspectors

  • Activity A.3.3: Follow-up of the implementation of the safety culture (SC) oversight programme

Results:

-A comprehensive SCOP (Safety Culture Oversight Program) and training of the CNCAN and NRPA staff involved in inspections and in the implementation of the SCOP for the assessment of nuclear safety culture

-Updated practical inspection guides (SCOP procedures)
