Personnel authorization
• Permit
The practice permit is the document that allows its holder to carry out authorized activities in the nuclear field.
Practice permits are classified into 3 levels.
The permit must be issued before the activity in the nuclear field is carried out.
The practice permit is issued on the basis of an evaluation and an examination.
The rights obtained on the basis of the practice permit are not transferable.
The examination of the personnel's knowledge may be carried out, as applicable, by the authorization holder, by the National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control or by a body designated by CNCAN for the certification of personnel.
In the event of failure to attend, for well-founded reasons, the examination organized by CNCAN, the applicant for the practice permit may sit the examination, without paying again the fee and tariff provided for in the regulation in force, as a rule at the next examination session, after the scheduling has been confirmed by the secretary of the examination board.
In the event of a first failure in the examination organized by CNCAN, the applicant for the practice permit may sit the examination, as a rule at the next examination session, after the scheduling has been confirmed by the secretary of the examination board and after payment of the examination fee and tariff, proven by the documents provided for in the regulation in force.
In the event of a second failure in the examination organized by CNCAN, the applicant for the practice permit must follow a radiation protection training programme appropriate to the field and level of the nuclear activity, endorsed by CNCAN; the applicant may sit a new examination in order to obtain the practice permit 6 months after completing this training programme, provided that the conditions specified in these norms are met, including payment of the examination fee and tariff provided for in the regulation in force.
The examination syllabus is specified in the Norms on the issuing of practice permits for nuclear activities and the designation of radiation protection experts and Order no. 102/2018
