Public debate within the licensing process for the operation of the Nuclear Fuel Plant, FCN Pitești.

Minutes of the public debate - FCN Pitești

On 23.01.2026, the public debate will be held with a view to the issuing of the operating licence for Societatea Națională Nuclearelectrica S.A., Nuclear Fuel Plant (FCN) Pitești Branch, in accordance with the provisions of the Norms on decision-making transparency in the licensing process for nuclear installations, approved by CNCAN Order no. 81 / 2019.

23 January 2026, time: 11:00

VENUE

The public debate will be held at Mioveni Town Hall, in the Meeting Room of the Mioveni Local Council, located at 1 Dacia Boulevard, Argeș County, and will end when all those registered to speak have expressed their recommendations, referring specifically only to the documents under discussion (by 14:00 at the latest).

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

Interested persons may attend as observers and may ask questions during the public debate. The number of persons who may attend the debate is limited by the capacity of the hall in which the debate will be held. The debate will last no more than 3 hours.

Until 20.01.2026, interested persons may request to take part in the public debate at the e-mail address: relatii.publice@cncan.ro. Access is granted on presentation of an identity card.

To ensure that the registration process runs smoothly, participants are advised to arrive at Mioveni Town Hall, 1 Dacia Boulevard, Argeș County, 20 minutes before the start of the public debate.

Participants in the debate must observe the following rules of conduct:

• They shall have an objective, impartial and neutral attitude towards any political, economic, religious or other interest;
• They shall express and substantiate their opinions in compliance with the legislation in force;
• Participants must comply with the administrative rules specific to the venue where the public debate is held;
• Video or audio recording of the public debate is permitted only with the consent of CNCAN and FCN Pitești.
